Information about taking leave
A. Annual Leave
- 1. The Employee who continuously serves at NHRI for two months is entitled to have one-day annual leave starting from the following month up to the end of the first year.
- 2. The Employee who continuously serves at NHRI for one year is entitled to have seven-day annual leave starting from January 1st of the next year.
- 3. The Employee who continuously serves at NHRI for two years is entitled to have fourteen-day annual leave starting from the January 1st of the next year.
- 4. The Employee shall apply for the annual leave through e-form system and shall take the leave after obtaining the approval.
B. Sick Leave
- 1. The Employee can take sick leave when he/she is sick.
- 2. If the Employee is sick up to 3 days and/or above, he/she needs to hand in a supporting documents provided by the hospital to his/her supervisor.
- 3. The total sick leave paid by the employer is up to 30 days.
- 4. The Employee shall apply for sick leave through e-form system. If the system is not available when the Employee needs to take sick leave, at least inform the immediate supervisor or the divisional administrator by phone on the same day, and proceed with the document approval afterwards.
C. Personal Leave
- 1. The Employee can take personal leave. The personal leave may not be paid.
- 2. The total personal leave for an employee is up to 14 days.
- 3. The Employee shall apply for the personal leave through e-form system and shall take the leave after obtaining the approval.
Remarks:
- 1. If the Employee applies leave for 7 days or less, he/she is required to obtain the approval from the immediate supervisor.
- 2. If the Employee applies leave for 7 to 14 days, he/she is required to obtain the approval from the director of the division.
- 3.If the Employee applies leave for more than 14 days, he/she is required to obtain the approval from the Secretary General.
- 4. For taking leaves, most employees log on the NHRI E-Form System to ask for their superiors' permission in advance. However, the NHRI E-Form System is all in Chinese. Still, you may use the following Leave Form to file your request: Leave Form (in English)
